Fishing...

June 4, 2011- Last week we (Lok Dai, Binod Dai, Saroj Dai, Yagya Dai, Shova Bhauju, Kritika, Saroj (Sanu), and Myself) went to Hattie Lake for fishing. It was a free fishing day and it was our first fishing day in this summer 2011. We reached at Hattie Lake at 12:30 pm and we took a lunch. Then we started fishing, but we did not catch a single fish even after 5 hours of continued fishing. Everybody was tired waiting for the fish, but nobody caught fish. All efforts for getting fish ended with empty hand. Therefore we spent 1 hour in playing stones during our stay. We played stone-game. Everybody tried their best to break the other's stone during the game. One moment during the play was very interesting and laughing  becuase Saroj Dai felt down while he was trying to hit my stone. It seemed like Bollywood Actor Akshay Kumar was doing action for a moive. Saroj Dai's stunt was great and looked like a stunt from Akshay Kumar.  We will contine our fishing trip in the future too. It was a great moment to spend time with Nepalese brothers and sisters.

Camping

On Friday, August 13,I got a call from Keshav Dai while I was working in the lab. Keshav Dai informed me about the planning for camping. Without some programs like party,BBQ, and fishing on every weekend,it seems we are missing something very important; we are feeling uneasy. As in the past, this weekend was also exciting. Keshav Dai and Shashi Dai were planning to organize a camping on happy occasion of their family arrival here in Laramie but date was not announced. But they suddenly informed us about camping that we are going for camping that Friday. We had not enough time to prepare leaving for the camping. Especial thanks toShashi Dai and Keshav Dai. It was my first visit to Rocky mountain so I was excited.

Almost all Nepali were very interested to go for a camping, so we were planning to leave at 4:00 pm for camping on Friday. Even with hard labor from all sides, we couldn't leave on time. So we were in hurry to organize all the things for camping. Some days ago,Shashi Dai, Basant Dai were planning to visit Yellow Stone this Friday. But due to some problems they diverted their mind And finally arose the planning for camping.

We started our journey at 6:00 pm in the evening, we headed to Rocky Mountain. The journey was so enjoyable listening music and viewing natural scenario on the way ahead . Natural beauty and landscapes that are located on the way from Laramie to Rocky Mountain reminded me memories of Nepal. We visited Walden Colorado on the way while we were moving forward to Rocky Mountain. We reached at Granby Lake at 11:30 pm located in 1000 Trail camping Ground, there we found camping site. We camped our camp. Afterwards we started BBQ and enjoyed eating variety food items including potato, chicken. Shashi Dai started introduction program with his brief-introduction and then so on because some new Nepali incomers were also in the programs. Sometimes we were talking some funny things that made more enjoyable.

We woke up early in the tomorrow morning, and prepared for going to Rocky Mountain. We rented two boats for an hour for boating in Grand Lake Marina. All couples were on one boat whereas we single boys were on the another boat. We enjoyed boating very much onGrand lake. Baichhabi Dai,Sagun Dai, Saroj Dai, Sujan,Manoj and me enjoyed driving the water-boat. I was scared while Manoj sometimes was driving the water-boat in U-turnAfter boating we took lunch and we left for Estes Park. The travel was very dangerous and adventurous. The road was also very twisted and serpentine. I was in Rajan Dai's car. I was feeling very safe because he drives very well. We enjoy viewing various landscapes, and mountains. . The road that belongs from Estes Park to Loveland is very nice, on one side there are Mountains and on the other side greeneries. We returned back to LaramieWe reached Laramie at 9:00 pm on Saturday night. Its my first visit to Rocky Mountain and also first camping. I got a chance to have experiences of camping.

All in all, it was a wonderful and memorable visit to Rocky Mountain with Laramie people. Thanks all for giving company and supporting nice-journey. Once again Thank you so muchShashi Dai and Keshav Dai for organizing camping. Also I would like to thank Lok Dai for managing and making a successful journey. But missing Rajkunmar Rai very much.

Continuing Fishing Experience

Yesterday we Laramie people went for fishing. It was a great time to have a chance to go for fishing with all Nepali people. We headed to Lake Owen, a lake near Snowy Range,at 11:30 am. The lake Owen is big and water was very cold. Even though Keshav Dai,Baichabi Dai, Saroj Dai,Manoj and Sujan enjoyed swimming very much. I would like to thank especially Shashi Dai. Shashi Dai is vegetarian but he gave company to us for this program. He caught four fishes. Lok Dai, Keshav Dai and me caught 2-2 fishes. While Rajan dai, Sujan,Nikita caught 1-1 fish.

We had a great moment there with exciting environment,everybody was trying his best to catch more fish. But it was not a easy task for everybody to catch the fish. Saroj Dai tried his best but he couldn't catch a single the fish. Later when he saw others catching fish,he realized patience is one of the most important matter in Fishing. It will be a vague stare if I don't praise Shashi dai's patience. He caught four fishes,we knows how he was showing patience while catching the fish.

Kaman Dai, The Hero of the fishing day did a great job. He gave an example that Hero always shows at the end. With his best try, he could not catch not more than one fish till afternoon. But he didn't lose his confidence and faith, he continued to try best. Eventually he caught five fishes. Among these fishes, one fish is big enough than others.We all praised the great performance of Kaman Dai. In the future also, we all think Kaman dai will come with such a excellent result in the Fishing. Saroj Dai and Baichhabi dai were supporting kaman dai just by encouraging The great Hero Kaman Dai. I also caught two fishes,but it was so bored catching only two fishes. I tried my best from my side, however; the result ended at only two.

Finally, we all came to Lok Dai's apartment. We cleaned all the fishes and made ready for cooking. Lok dai,Baichhabi dai,and Manoj were busy for that task. Shova Bhauju, Jagitri Bhauju,Prakriti bhauju, Rubina bhauju,Pabitra bhauju were busy for cooking. They cooked all the items-rice, Pickles, fish, and vegetables. The foods were so delicious-Thanks to all bhaujus. We enjoyed very much eating fish including other variety.

The First Fishing Experience in My Life

२०१० जुलाई २५ को दिन थियो,माछा मार्न जाने हल्ला सुनियो | बुझ्दै जादा थाहा पाय माछा मार्न जाने तयारी भईरहेको रहेछ, मलाई माछा मार्ने कुरामा इछ्या छैन की भनेर लोक दाईले खबर नगर्नुभएको रहेछ |बिदाको दिन थियो अनी एउटा रमाइलो अनुभव पनि गरौ भनेर म पनि जाने निधो गरे | यत्तिकैमा मैले केशव दाईलाई फोन गरे,केशव दाई पनि जाने भन्नुभयो| बैछबी दाई त जाने भनेर तयारीमा जुटी सक्नुभएको थियो |

लोक दाई,शोभा भाउजु,कमन दाई,पबित्रा भाउजु,केशव दाई,बैछबी दाई,सुजन,मनोज सहित हामी माछा मार्नको लागि Snowy Range तिर लाग्यौ |बाटोमा खाजाको लागि पिज्जा र कोल्ड ड्रिन्क्स कमन दाईले किन्नुभयो | किने |सुजन र लोक दाईले माछा मर्ने लाईसेन्स लिनुभयो किनकी लाईसेन्सबिना माछा मार्न पाईदो रहेनछ | सबैजना लारामीदेखी ३०मिलेस पश्चिममा पर्ने Snowy Range गयका थियौ | Snowy Range हिमाल आरोहण,फिशिङग,तालको लागि प्रख्यात छ| हामी करिब बेलुका ४ बजेतिर स्नोवी रङे को Mirror Lake मा पुगेका थियौ | त्यहाँ पुगेपछी हल्का नास्ता गरौ र माछा मार्नको लागि Mirror तालतिर लम्कौ|

म,केशव दाई र कमन दाई भने सबैजनालाई त्यही छोडेर Marie Lake तिर लाग्यौ | पछि थाहा पाय कमन दाई बैछबी दाई र सरोज दाई मारिया लेकमा पहीले नै आउनुभयको रहेछ जहाँ दाईहरुले माछा हातले समातेर मार्नुभयको रहेछ | सधैं नयाँ-नयाँ साहासिक यात्रामा अगाडि बढ्ने अनी सानैदेखी केही नयाँ उपलब्धी हासिल गरेर दुनियाँलाई चकित पार्ने तिब्र चाहनाले ओतप्रोत एउटा कर्मठ व्यक्ती केशव दाई जस्तोसुकै कठिन यात्रामा समेत आफुलाई समर्पण गर्न पछि पर्नु हुन्थेन, फलस्वरुप त्यो भयानक गहिरो अनी हिउ झै चिसो तलाउको पानीमा समेत पौडी खेलेर उहाँ हातैले माछा समात्न कम्मर कस्न पनि पछी पर्नु भएन |तर अपसोच हातले माछा मार्नको लागि लाईसेन्स उहाँसँग थियन,अर्को कुरा उहाँ नियमविपरित कुनै काम नगर्ने एउटा असल मानिस |त्यसैले उहाँको हातले माछा मार्ने सपना येसपाली अधुरो हुन पुग्यो |जब हामी फेरी मिरर लेक तिर फर्कियौ | सबैजनालाई धेरै आसा लागेको रहेछ येस कुरामा की हामीले धेरै माछा लियर आउछौ भनेर,तर तेसो हुन सकेन | बैछबी दाई,लोक दाई सुजन,र मनोजको अथक प्रयासबाट एउटा मात्र माछा मर्नुभयको रहेछ| भनिन्छ जहाँ ईछ्या त्यहाँ उपाय| हामी भित्र लुकेको इछ्यालाई हामी रोक्न सकेनौ अनी त्यो एउटा माछा बाधियको डोरिमा अरु ४,५ वटा माछाहरु बाधियोस भनेर हामी अगाडि बढ्यौ|

बहुप्रतिभाका धनी व्यक्तित्य केशव दाईभित्र लुकेको माछामार्ने शैली जब बाहिर आयो तब बल्छी फालेको १ मिनट हुन नपाउदै बल्छीमा माछा पर्न सुरु भयो |खुबी भएको मानिसले बोलेर भन्दा कर्म गरेर देखाउछन भनेर भन्थे साचो रहेछ| त्यसपछी पालो मेरो आयो-जताततैबाट एउटै आवज आएको थियो: प्रदीपले आफ्नो इज्जत जोगाउछ की जोगाउदैन |भनिन्छ-"समय आउछ पर्खदैन,त्यसमा चुक्ने माहा मुर्ख हो|" सहि समय चिनेर आफु भित्रको खुबी देखायर आफ्नो परिचय दिनु पर्छ भन्ने मान्यता अङ्गाल्ने म पनि आफ्नो खुबी देखाए:सुरुमा बल्छी हानेको केहिछिनमा माछा पर्‍यो|फेरी केशव दाईको पलो थियो,सबैलाई आसा लागेको थियो किनकी मेहेनत र खुबी भएको मानिसको सबैले विश्वाश गर्छन् |हेर्दा हेर्दै केशव दाईले बल्छीमा अरको माछा पनि पारेर देखैदिनुभयो,सबैजना चकित पर्नुभयो-त्यसैले भनिएको होला:अकबरी सुनलाई कसी लाउनु पर्दैन| मनोज भाई दंग पर्दै अनी माछा समात्दै केशव दाईको प्रशंसा गर्न सुरु गरे |

परिस्रम गरे फल अवस्य पाईन्छ भनेको सुनेको थिए तर कमन दाई, बैछबी दाई र सुजनले अथक प्रयास गरेपनी माछा मार्न सकेनन |धैर्य गर फल मिठो हुन्छ भन्थे म पनि अरको माछा पार्न कम्मर कसेको थियो|आखिर सफल भए-अझ रम्रोसग भन्नुपर्दा हिजोको यात्राको सबैभन्दा ठुलो माछा मार्ने म नै भए |जुनसुकै राम्रो कार्यको सुरुवात राम्रो मानिसबाट भयो भने अन्तिम नतिजा पनि राम्रो हुन्छ भन्ने कता कता सुन्नमा आएको थियो-त्यो साचो रहेछ किनकी माछा मार्ने सुरुवात एउटा असल व्यक्तीबाट भएको थियो-केबल लोक दाईबाट |मनोज भाईले पनि एउटा माछा मारेर केही अनुभव सङ्गाले |भाउजुहरु शोभा भाउजु र पबित्रा भाउजुले पनि माछा मार्नु हुन्थ्यो होला,तर उहाँहरुले प्रयास गर्नुभयन | केशव दाईले जब बल्छी हान्नुहुन्छ तब माछाले आहारा खाएको-खायै हुन्थ्यो,धेरै पटक बल्छिबाट माछा आहारा खाएर फुस्केको देख्दा feel Bad पनि नभयको होईन | Man of the Fishing Day goes to Keshav dai on the basis of his excellent and hilarious super-skills. बेलुका करिब ९ बजेतिर अपार्टमेन्टमा फर्कियौ |बैछबी दाईले केशव दाईको सहयोगमा माछा बनाउनुभयो र सबैले माछा भात खायौ -माछा साह्रै मिठो बनाउनुभयको रहेछ|बैछबी दाईलाई विशेस धन्यवाद !!!
