Lionel Messi is the best ever

Many people believe that Lionel Messi (Argentina), who plays for Barcelona club, is the best soccer player of all time; while others argue he has to win the Fifa World Cup for his national side in his career to be entitled as the best ever . But there is no doubt he is the best soccer player of our generation. Messi became the first player in the history to win Fifa Ballon d'Or, the most prestigious individual football award,  for the fourth time in a row (2009-2012). How many goals he scored in a single calendar year not  just 10, 20 or 50 but more than 90 goals: a record of number of goals in a single calendar year in the history. He has set many records along the way: first player to score 5 goals in a single UEFA Champion league game, all time top scorer for Barcelona and many more. He is just 25 years old, just looking at the current Messi's supernatural form and statistics it can be concluded that many more is yet to come from genius Messi in the future. Messi, known as La pulga (The Flea), has magnificent skills and vision; he does amazing things ever seen in football history. Watching him playing is a joy for all the football fans. He is simply the GOAT and genius.

World Elephant Polo Tournament in Meghauli Chitwan (Nov 28th - Dec 4th 2010))

Tiger Tops, Chitwan-Nepal has been hosting World Elephant Polo Tournament in each December since 1982 in airstrip Meghauli, Chitwan Nepal. Recently, Tiger Tops Chitwan Nepal hosted the 29th World Elephant Polo Tournament in Meghauli, Chitwan as in the past. Eight teams from different countries: Switzerland, Australia, UK, UAE, Afghanistan  Scotland, Nepal participated in this tournament. (http://www.elephantpolo.com/wepa/) This time EFG,Switzerland team was crowned as 29th WEPA championship which defeated Sepoys UAE by 6-5 goals. According to local source, people including internal and foreign tourists, who watched this tournament , was the highest  in the history of Elephant Polo tournament. 

              Elephant polo is played in Nepal, Srilanka, India and Thailand. Modern game originated from Meghauli, Chitwan Nepal, however at first Elephant Polo was played in India, by members of Maharaja's Heren. World Elephant Polo Association(WEPA) was formed in 1982 with joint action of  Jim Edwards,owner of Tiger Tops Jungle Lodge; James Manclark, former member of Olympic tobogganer and Scottish landowner and chairman of Tiger Mountain Group in Switzerland.(http://www.elephantpolo.com/html/index.html).

                WEPA has strict rules for Elephant welfare and game play, under this rules and regulations this game is played. Elephant polo is played riding on elephant. Initially soccer ball was used, but later replaced by  particular polo ball. Various length of Cane (Bamboo like) sticks with a polo mallet head on one end are used by players, which may vary from 5 to 12 feet depending upon the size of Elephant. Elephant are driven by trainers called 'Mahouts'. 'Mahouts' instruct elephenet using signals and commands, either by verbal commands or applying pressure on the back of the Elephant's ear and head. The player also communicates with mahouts in order to let mahouts  where to go, when to stop and how fast.

World Cup 2010 Summary

The closing ceremony of World Cup 2010 was held two days ago on July 11th in South Africa. Spain is the winner of this World Cup. Spain was only the Nation in the World Cup History that won the World Cup after losing its first match. Spain played its first match against Switzerland and Switzerland defeated the Spain with 1 goal. Many results of this World Cup was beyond my imagination like in the match Serbia : Germany (1-0). Many people had the expectation from South American nations Argentina and Brazil, however, it was empty-handed when Germany defeated Argentina, and Netherlands beat the Brazil. Uruguay played very well in this World Cup, and it was first time after 1978 that Uruguay reached to semifinals. England played individually rather than as a team, so this time England couldn't play well. Spain is only the European nation that won the World Cup for the first time in World Cup History that held out side of Europe.

Diego Forlan is the Best player of World Cup 2010 and golden ball was awarded to him. Diego Forlan was the player who had received the European golden boot two times after scoring more goals than other in Spanish League. Thomas Muller was awarded golden boot on the basis of top goal scorer and his assist for the goal. Thomas was also named as Best Young player of World Cup 2010. Casillas, the Goalkeeper of Spain, was awarded Golden Glove as Top Goalkeeper of the Tournament.

World Cup 2010 final( Spain Vs Netherlands) 1-0

We, all Laramie's Nepali people, watched the World Cup final 2010 in our Apartment. Yesterday we had already invited all Laramie's Nepali people including Tek Uncle, Lok Dai, Raj Dai, Keshav Dai, Basant Dai, Saroj Dai, Nabraj Dai, Rejendara Dai, Rajan Dai, Kaman Dai, David, Adarsh. We enjoyed very much watching the interesting and competitive match between Spain and Netherlands. All Nepali came to watch the match accepting our invitation. Actually I am great fan of Argentina but for this final match I was supporting Holland. Some of them were Spain's supporter, on the other hand I along with some Nepali were supporters of Netherlands. It was so interesting to watch the match. We were enjoying by commenting on the opponent's weakness and misses, In the same way Spain's supporters were laughing when Netherlands' players missed the shot or whenever they got the yellow card. Anyway we enjoyed very much but at the last moment, Spain scored one goal during the extra time at 117 minutes. Netherlands played well but they couldn't convert the many golden chances into goal. Its the third time that Netherlands reached the World Cup final, however they didn't win. We collected money : double from Netherlands supporters and half from the Spain supporters as we had already agreed before the match. Today we are going to have a BBQ on the ground in front of our apartment. Anyway congratulations to the Spain and its supporters and I wish Netherlands third time bad luck will turn into Good luck. Let's hope for the next time.

भविष्यवक्ता अक्टोपस World Cup 2010

स्पेन र जर्मनीबीचको सेमिफाइनलमा को विजयी हुन्छ भनेर अक्टोपसले झन्डा चुम्दै गरेको दृश्य मंगलबार जर्मनीका समाचार टेलिभिजनले प्रत्यक्ष प्रसारण गरेका छन्।

यसपटक विश्वकपमा अक्टोपसले भविष्यवाणी गरेका सबै ५ खेल मिलेको छ। त्यसमा जर्मनी समूह चरणमा सर्बियासँग पराजित हुने भविष्यवाणी पनि थियो। अक्टोपसले जर्मनी विजय हुने भविष्यवाणी गरेको खेलमा अर्जेन्टिना ४ गोलले हारेको थियो।

अक्टोपसले स्पेनलाई चुनेपछि जर्मन समर्थकमा निराशा छाएको बिबिसी संवाददाताले जनाएका छन्। उसले भविष्यवाणी गरेको सबै मिल्छ भने छैन। युरो-२००८ को फाइनलमा जर्मनीले स्पेनमाथि विजय हात पार्छ भनेर अक्टोपसले गरेको भविष्यवाणी गलत भएको थियो। स्पेनले सो खेल १-० ले जितेको थियो।

World Cup 2010

Time is running smoothly. I am watching World Cup 2010 with my Nepali friends and brothers. I am glad to have a friendly environment here in Laramie. I would like to thank all Nepali Laramie's Brothers who are providing such environment. I along with many Nepali Keshav Banset, David karki, Adarsh Dangi and Shanker Tamang are great fans of Argentina here in Laramie. So we were eagerly waiting the match between Argentina Vs Mexico. We watched and enjoyed a lot. Everybody knows Messi is one of the best soccer player, so he has great responsibility for Argentine team to lead the this team as winner of this World Cup.Maradona is also trying his best to his team to train his players very well. The whole World is getting the golden chance to watch the Legend soccer player Maradona as an Argentine coach. I am very happy that Maradona is performing very well. But there were many defenders around Messi, so he couldn't play very well. He charged two powerful shots, however goalkeeper saved it. Tevej scored 2 goals, the 2nd goal from Tevej was awesome. Anyway I am expecting more great and interesting game from Argentine team. Final score of the matches between Argentina Vs Mexico was 3 : 1. ARGENTINA is on the right path to win this World cup with best players. Thank you.
